THE HIGH PRIESTESS – THE GODDESS WITHIN
THE HIGH PRIESTESS
The High Priestess is the Goddess within. She is the feminine principle, the Yin, the receptive side. She represents the intuition. She shows us that the path to realisation is reached by overcoming our own self-doubts, and by listening more trustingly to our own feelings and intuitions.
She is also synonymous with virginity or purity (the Virgin Mary, the Goddess Isis). In this instance, virginity would be the symbol of purity, i.e. in thoughts, feelings, desires, looks, words and gestures. She holds sway over the water element. Think about it! Water is a very powerful conductor in our lives. Our body is eighty percent water. Water purifies. Water flushes the kidneys, helping the blood purification process. There are two ways to clean or purify your system of all impurities.
The first way is to drink first thing in the morning, every day, on an empty stomach, a cup of well-boiled hot water. The second way is to sweat out all the impurities once or twice a week in a sauna. Hot water can get rid of many complaints such as migraine, fever, insomnia, etc.
The High Priestess shows us that we can achieve our goals without being ruthless, she teaches us to follow the path of love, she is pure and kind and works on the side of goodness. Everything that is done with heart, will work out in the end. You must look within to find the answers, and you shall find what you seek.
The High Priestesses strength is her femininity, she asks you to show more care towards relationships and projects. If you love something with all your heart, it will come to fruition. The High Priestess has a healing touch, and she teaches you to do the same. You must look towards your intuition for answers when you see The High Priestess in a tarot spread. She is always reminding you that the answers lie within.
