One of the first things people do with a new interest is to buy a few books on the particular topic. Those interested in all things psychic and spiritual are no different, once the bug has taken hold of you, you search high and low for the next book, looking for some esoteric hidden truth. There are millions of books out there, some old and some new books. In general I prefer the old books, as some of the newer books can just be rehashed attempts at bringing an old book to life. Many authors bring out a first great book, but by the 30th book they can become a little boring and repetitive, their message has been given and they have nothing new to write. The spontaneity is lost and repetition replaces what was once a great and inspiring idea. I am sure you have read authors like this, there are a few that have managed to write book after book, with a constant fresh flow of inspiration, but this is rare.
A couple of authors to my knowledge have managed to inspire book after book. Osho is one and Omraam Aivanhov is another, though their books in the main are oral translations. So the author has rarely had to sit down and write. Their words have come from great gatherings of people who followed them.
I will list a few of my favourite books, hopefully they will inspire you to look deeper inside yourself, or they will teach you the skills you seek to learn.
Only Love Is Real is a wonderful book written by Neale Donald Walsch, it is a book about past life regression. The two main characters in the book are Elizabeth and Pedro who are patients that visit Neale Donald Walsch’s office for hypnotic regression therapy. Basically the two patients start to have separate visions about past lives where both of them live together. At the start of the therapy sessions, neither knows each other, by the end, it becomes a true story about soulmates.
The Powers Of Thought is a book by Omraam Aivanhov, if you ever wanted to know the true power of the mind, this is the book for you. Omraam is a great orator and his every word is inspirational, he talks about thought being a living entity and he gives practical ways of using your thoughts to bring about positive changes within your life and the lives of those around you. This book is a great compliment for anyone who is becoming more spiritually aware. If you are studying how to be a psychic, this book will make you look at things from a different angle than the normal books on psychic awareness.
Your Sixth Sense written by Belleruth Naparstek is a great book for the aspiring psychic, she explains in simple terms how to tap into your psychic skills. With simple lessons you can practice. No one becomes psychic overnight without some tuition, once you have learned the basics you will be able to structure messages better and you will have a better understanding of any signs and symbols that you visualize.
A great tip once you have read a book, look at the back or sometimes on the first and last pages, you will find reviews from other authors, more than likely the author who has put a good review, will write in a similar style to the book you have just read. People like similar styles to themselves, this is human nature. Hopefully the few authors I have mentioned here will inspire you to look for more interesting psychic books. Which is your favourite psychic book?
